An Open Letter To An Ingrate

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, you are the most bonafide narcissistic useless piece of human flesh that it has been my misfortune to meet.

Not only do you think that the world revolves around you, but you have gone above and beyond the normal definition of slacker. Never have I seen someone so incredibly and utterly demanding yet such a walking definition of a loser as you.

Not only do you give microscopically less than the minimal effort, but you become utterly stupid should someone not accept your "maximum" effort to whatever task or job that you happened to be assigned to.

You are thoroughly contemptible individual who brings all kinds of misery and stress on the people you happen to come into contact with, and yet, hold yourself completely blameless for the shit storm that you leave in your wake.

Think I'm joking?

The type of people that I've had to talk to in the month of April completely blows me away, as never in my entire life have I had to deal with those people on any kind of level.

But only you, with your special ability to do stupid things should someone have the audacity and temerity to question your word or not acquiesce to your demands, would force our little family business unit to deal with the hard-working people who work in the front lines of the legal community.

In three years.

And not only did our little family business unit have to deal with those hard-working people on the front lines, but our little family unit had to deal with the continuing fallout from Big Brother as well. How the hell am I supposed to weather this special little shit storm that you'd created just for me?

I just can't simply do what I'm supposed to do for the foreseeable future now, because of the shit storm you decided to unleash in my direction. Now I have to go through other people in order to do what I'm supposed to do. How fuckin' fair is that? Do you think I enjoy having other people do certain things for me, simply because I'm not allowed to?

That is complete and utter bullshit.

Bottom line is that even though you'd like to think that this little shit storm will go the way of the others, you would be sadly mistaken to think that way. Enough things are in place so that if you don't show a little initiative, a little gumption, a shade more than the minimal effort that you normally give, the end result will be something that you may not have thought would actually happen.

Maybe, some day, I'll come to terms with what you've done to me and the family business this year, and maybe some day I'll even start dealing with you on a normal basis.

But until then, just go about your business of digging a deeper hole for yourself, having your business associates use you as a tool and leave me the fuck alone.

  1. I'm so sorry, G. I hope venting helps a little, it always does for me.

  2. M: It did.

However, as they say, something unexpected can happen to eliminate whatever temporary relief you had gotten from venting.

  3. Good to get that out I bet!
There are folks at work who do me in lately too, n arte the same type of useless, elite paper plate kind of poop you have to keep picking up for...
Then at home there's the neighbor feud going- scary to have crazy folks doing stuff to you without having done anything to deserve it... Cause it's those nutty ones who go beserk shooting folks n stuff- You never know! At least the cops know all about it in case-
At work caqn't do a thingabout it cuse it's he supe!
Better luck to the family unit next time- I've missed every bday party of my daughter due to
    pea=brains for 6 years now!

  4. Snaggle: It did.

Sorry to hear that you have neighbors going off the deep end, and I can sympathize with you to a certain degree about dealing with simpletons that you're perpetaully cleaning up after, simply because I work in the guv'ment, and they have more than their fair share of dead weight.

Used to go through missing b'days & holidays when I was working in the private sector and it really sucked when it happened.

  5. Holy shit, you're related to my sister too?

  6. Youch, man. Sorry you had to go through that.

  7. ABftS: Might be an improvement to whom I'm related to now.

    Charles: Thanks.

It's a sucky gift that keeps on giving. :(

  8. Aw, I'm so sorry you have to deal with this, G. This person sounds very similar to how my older brother used to be -- including the many, many dealings with the people in the legal community.

The GOOD thing is, he actually managed to do a complete 180 with his life, and finally realized what an idiot he'd been. Of course, the only way for that to happen is for the offending person to CHOOSE to make that change. And I know how frustrating it is when they refuse to take responsibility and acknowledge how they affect others (my husband has a few of THOSE in his family...).

I hope your situation will improve -- feel free to vent anytime!

  9. Lisa: That's the crux of the issue exactly, the offending person has to choose to make the change.

At this point, I'm not seeing much hope in that particular option. I truly believe that beyond rock bottom has to be hit before change will occur.

  10. Oh G, I'm so sorry you had to deal with a big fat jerk recently! Ugh!!! I had to chuckle about the legal department thing because I swear it's not cliche, the biggest backstabbing lier I've ever met is currently studying for the bar. Oh well. As Beyonce would say, "dust your shoulders off". We are better than them and wishing you a WAY better month in May!!! Miss your blog posts! Sorry I've been MIA!!! (Holly from What Was I Saying Again... which is currently hidden from view because I NEVER post! ) :)

  11. P.S. Excuse typos, haven't had my coffee yet!

  12. Holly: Hey there young lady!

So glad that you could stop by and say hi!

I really do think that you got some knockout photog skills and I was glad that I was able to track you down to your new blog.

Unfortunately, the big fat jerk (as you so eloquently stated) is someone that is remarkably close to me, so to speak. So we deal with them the best that we can.

Originality. Is. Good. Be original. Be thoughtful. But most importantly, make me think.
